Swati's Fitness Blog.....

Part-I:
What are the changes you observed in yourself after you started working out?
    1. Everyday life chores become easier. When you start working out, the difficulties in tasks such as carrying grocery bags, walking up hills, or being on your feet for a few hours completely dissipate.

    2. Your average happiness level at any given time will increase by about 30-40%.

    3. Things will bother you less. You will regularly find yourself shrugging things off that used to ruin your entire day. Lost your keys? No big. Someone cut you off in traffic? All good.

    4. It will take a lot more to evoke a stress response out of you. I’ve found this especially true in the workplace.

    5. You will respect yourself more, and that will come across through your micro behaviors and expressions throughout the entirety of your day.

    6. People will begin to respect you more, mostly because of how you carry yourself and because you subconsciously demand respect by the fact that you respect yourself.

    7. Your facial features will become more defined, dramatically increasing your attractiveness no matter what you currently look like. (Getting down to ~10% body fat for men or ~15% for women can increase your attractiveness by at least 2 points out of 10)

    8. Your energy, focus, and vigor for life will increase so dramatically that you will begin to perform better in your work and projects. You will manifest more success for yourself in all of your endeavors because the quality of work dramatically increases. You’ll also get a lot more done because of your increased energy.

Part-II :
  1. The process of falling asleep becomes more consistent because you’re physically tired when your head hits the pillow. There’s no room to stay up reliving the stresses of the day.
  2. You will drink less alcohol because of the negative impact it has on your workout intensity. The sluggishness serves as an effective form of self-accountability.

  3. Learning new skills becomes way easier because of the increase in brain derived nootropic factor. This can have compounding effects on your life, especially if it’s something like learning a new language or instrument.

  4. You will become much more in tune with your body and thus how your decisions might affect how you feel. For example, you’ll start to learn what foods make you feel your best, how much sleep you need, what activities drain you vs. refuel you.

  5. Your social life will improve. People will notice there’s a certain spark about you that draws others to you. Mostly, it’s your ability to be engaged and present with those you interact with. This is even true for you introverts out there.

  6. You will become a more exciting person. You will feel more comfortable going on exciting adventures that once seemed out of reach or too hassling. Things like learning to ski, going on a 10 mile hike, camping for a few days, all become things that are within reach for you.

  7. You will find a lot of chronic health problems are severely mitigated.

  8. Your nutrition will improve because you will begin to require higher quality fuel for the machine. This will have a compounding effect on all of the benefits listed above.

  9. Your general will power is dramatically improved. You will often continue making good decisions throughout the day in a sort of domino effect with each one leading to the next. You begin to humanize those “other-worldly” healthy people and understand how they achieved their amazing results. It became easier once the ball got rolling.
